Hi, dear Author, you are my new favorite person for writing me this fic, whatever it is.

A few basic things before we dive into the specifics of the fandoms. I'd like kink left out as much as possible -- it isn't that I don't enjoy a good story with kink, I'm just not sure how well kink would fit in with most of the requests I've made. (That having been said, if you WANT to write me kink, I'd like the milder side of it as opposed to the darker side.)

I like happy endings, but even more than that I like angst. I LOVE angst, actually. If you can do an angsty fic that has a happy ending -- or even just a "happy for now" ending -- then have at it and I will love it to bits. (I'll love anything you write me, but angst is my favorite thing ever, pretty much.)

I don't like one character triumphing over enough at the cost of the other person's dignity or putting another character down just for the sake of putting them down (it's different if the character doing it is the kind of character who WOULD do it).

And now, on with the show!

( Details, whee! )

comments

But you're also assuming that magically means everybody will just as magically be sent home to spend the holiday with their family. Can't speak for everywhere in the employment world, but I know my subsection of hell is far more likely to shuffle us around and invent meaningless tasks for us to do if we're scheduled that day.

Or what about those of us that don't mind working the holiday because hi holiday pay? Only, y'know, not so much.

Spent four hours in the ER and came out of it with a doctor's note excusing me from work tomorrow and a recommendation to see a neurologist. We're going to call and make that appointment on Monday.

It was... incredibly surreal. I was sitting in the break room before work, checked my phone at 8:22, and next thing I knew it was 8:26.

Was actually pretty scary because I KNEW what was happening but couldn't really do anything about it.
I took my lithium today after not having it for four days due to an inability to FIND the damn prescription in order to get it filled. Hopefully I'll get back to mentally and emotionally balanced soon, because I'm really not enjoying this whole depression spiral I've got going on.

I need to write. I have a bigbang fic due the 13th of next month and just, um... I'm at 8.2k out of a minimum 10k. This should not be as hard as my brain is making it. Because I've done 7k in one day before, so in theory 1.8k over the course of days shouldn't be that difficult.

"In theory" being the key phrase.

In actuality, my brain is just locking up.

But I still have basically two weeks -- I have to pretty much finish the thing a few days early due to vacation -- so I'm not actually panicking about that. Yet. (Just flailing, lol.) Because we all know I will sooner or later.

Speaking of writing! I kind of want to do a big prompt table of some kind, like both Mylia and Pesha are doing. Except I know that I will fail miserably at it, like I do every time I try a prompt table. This does not, however, keep me from wanting to try again.

In other news... vacation! I'm going out to Maryland again to visit shadowcat, which is going to be fun. It's also going to be Tattoos For Everyone, because there's going to be five of us -- the two of us, her daughter, and two other friends -- getting tattoos. Kind of nervous, since it's my first one and I don't do well with needles or pain. But it's a pretty simple design, so I should be okay.

comments
